Veterinarians

Erin  Davis

Dr. Erin Davis, DVM

Dr. Erin Davis is our lead veterinarian and our practice owner. She opened Crossroads Animal Hospital in May of 2010. After graduating from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, she moved to Virginia to be an equine veterinarian. During those first few years, she worked extensively in Louisa and Fluvanna Counties and saw the Zion Crossroads area start to grow. A horse-riding accident lead Dr. Davis to switch her focus of practice to smaller animals, and in 2008 she began planning for the opening of Crossroads Animal Hospital. Dr. Davis enjoys internal medicine, ophthalmology, and ultrasound, but truly loves all aspects of veterinary medicine. She also enjoys interacting with clients and their pets, and appreciates the human-animal bond.

Dr. Davis lives in Charlottesville with her husband, two children and her two cats, Kiki and Bernard. In her rare moments of free time, she likes to run, cycle, swim, travel, wine taste, and cook.

Ashley Zeni

Dr. Ashley Zeni, DVM

Dr. Ashley Zeni is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where she received both her bachelor’s degree and her veterinary degree. She graduated Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, alongside Dr. Davis! Dr. Zeni spent the beginning 9 years of her career practicing in Northern Virginia. However, her heart was always drawn to Charlottesville, and she moved down here in the fall of 2013. Her professional interests include feline medicine, internal medicine, cardiology and ultrasound. In her personal time, she enjoys fitness, reading, cooking and traveling, both locally and internationally. She shares her home with 3 cats: 2 hairless Sphynx cats named Milton and Ellee and an American Shorthair named Gus.

Mike Fietz

Dr. Mike Fietz, DVM

Dr. Mike Fietz was born and raised in New York, He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, and stuck around to earn his veterinary degree in 2003. He moved to Charlottesville that year to begin his career in small animal practice and loved the area far too much to leave. His professional interests include geriatric medicine, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery, and his column on animal health has been published in C-Ville Weekly. In his free time, he is an avid hiker, shutterbug, writer, and video gamer. He also loves cooking and welcomes any excuse to spend his day in the kitchen.

Erin Casey

Dr. Erin Casey, DVM

Dr. Erin Casey earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from James Madison University in 2006. She then began working as a veterinary assistant in Florida, which she continued upon moving to Charlottesville in 2009. Dr. Casey graduated from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She joined Crossroads Animal Hospital in 2020. Dr. Casey currently lives in Charlottesville with her husband, daughter, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. In her free time, Dr. Casey enjoys reading, cooking, hiking, and traveling. 

Leti Hansen

Dr. Leti Hansen, DVM

Dr. Leticia Hansen was born and raised in Virginia. She's a graduate of the University of Virginia and then went on to obtain her Veterinary degree at Virginia Tech. She then returned to Charlottesville where she has remained since 2006. Her professional interests include behavioral medicine and surgery. Dr. Hansen was also a shelter veterinarian for Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center for over 12 years where she established her love for rescue. In her free time she enjoys fitness, horse back riding, and hanging with her two sons. She also shares her home with two dogs and three cats, all rescues. She also happens to be the bomb-diggity.

Kyle Kerstetter

Dr. Kyle Kerstetter, DVM, DACVS

Dr. Kyle Kerstetter is the owner and founder of VVOI. He is a graduate of Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine, class of 1993. He did a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Michigan State University. Following his internship, Dr. Kerstetter did a Small Animal Surgery Residency at the University of Tennessee. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Kerstetter joined Michigan Veterinary Specialists in 1998 and achieved Diplomate status in 1999.


He became partner in practice and Chief of Surgical Services for over 20 years. During this time, he was part of a merger with BluePearl Veterinary Partners. Dr. Kerstetter moved to Virginia in August 2020, trading his role as Chief of Surgery for Michigan to Locum Surgeon for BluePearl, a role he continues today. 

Veterinary Technicians

Kathy Sullivan

Kathy Sullivan
LVT

Kathy graduated from Northern Virginia Community College in 1999 as a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She went back to college in 2012 and received her Bachelors in Applied Science from St. Petersburg, FL. She has over 20 years of veterinary experience and is certified as a dental technician. She has a special interest in small animal behavior and is working towards her certification in behavior. She has lived in Louisa County since 2004. She has a daughter, 1 dog and 2 cats. In her free time, she likes to read, listen to music, watch movies, or just enjoy her time outside.

Stephanie Koiner

Stephanie Koiner
LVT

Stephanie has been a member of Crossroads Animal Hospital since 2018 and graduated Blue Ridge Community College in 2017. She lives in Gordonsville with her boyfriend, four dogs and two cats. French Bulldogs are her favorite breed and loves seeing them at the clinic. Her interests consist of dirt bike racing, reading and crafting.

Lindsey Hammond

Lindsey Hammond
LVT

Lindsey was raised in Richmond,VA and moved to this area at age 5. She has been volunteering at CRAH since she was 10 years old. Lindsey currently lives in Louisa with her 2 cats and likes spending time with her family and friends in her free time. She is currently a LVT student in training!

Sara Jaeger

Sara Jaeger
LVT

Sara graduated from BRCC’s Veterinary Technology program and received her LVT license in 2016 but has been working with animals since 2010—first as an adoption counselor at the CASPCA, then in the veterinary field ever since. When not working with animals she can be found doing artistic endeavors of various kinds or spending time with her family and friends. Sara lives a busy life in Orange, VA with her husband, several fur babies and 2 small humans under the age of 6. Sara’s veterinary interests include: cytology, dentistry, behavior and client education. Sara is one of the newest technicians to join the CRAH family, but has quickly fallen in love with the supportive team dynamic and high quality veterinary medicine that Crossroads Animal Hospital provides.

Jessica Krahenbill

Jessica graduated from Blue Ridge Community College in May 2018 and has worked in the veterinary field since 2015. Jessica joined Crossroads in February 2021. She grew up in Louisa County, and still lives there now with her husband, daughter, eight dogs and one cat. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors, and going for walks with her daughter and her dogs.

Ellen Gremillion

Ellen Gremillion
LVT

Ellen has been with CRAH since February 2024. She has been working in the veterinary field since 2015 and became an LVT in 2018. She also has a degree in Sustainable Agriculture from Appalachian State University. Ellen grew up in Maryland, lived in Asheville, NC area for 12 years and then moved to Barboursville in 2023. She lives in a 1920 farmhouse with her husband, 2 dogs and 2 cats. In her free time she enjoys reading, gardening, cooking and being outside. 

Marthe Westphal-Thomas

Marthe Westphal-Thomas
LVT

Marthe has been with CRAH since February 2024. She graduated from BRCC as a lisenced LVT in 2010 and has a background in emergency and exotic/reptile medicine. Marthe lives in Orange with her husband and menagerie of creatures. She also owns a rattery and reptarium and can usually be found vending at reptile expos in the area.

I’m originally from Germany and moved to the United States when I was 9 years old with my mother. I lived in Spotsylvania County until I moved to Louisa County 4 years ago. I have been happily married for 10 years now and we have a wonderful son named Elias. We also have a crazy Pyrenees Mix named Athena and a Tripod kitty named Tiger Lillie. I have always had a passion for animals and have been blessed to have worked for the past 18 years and counting in this field!

India Gardner-Everard

India Gardner-Everard

India started working at Crossroads in 2019 as a kennel assistant. She has been in the animal care profession since 2017, working mainly with dogs, cats, and horses. She lives in Madison with her husband and son. She has 1 dog, Rainie and 1 cat, CeeCee. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading, painting and being outdoors. She hopes to expand her skills in dog training and animal care in the future.

Frankie Brookman

Frankie Brookman

Frankie has lived in Louisa for 13 years and joined Crossroads Animal Hospital in 2013. She lives at home with her husband, Chase, two baby boys: Thrasher, 3 years and Baker 10 months. She also has three dogs, Remington, Winston and Beans and her cat named Ronald Weasley because of her love of Harry Potter. Her favorite breed of dog is Boston terriers. She enjoys spending time with family and friends.

Shannon Silver

Shannon Silver

Shannon has lived in Goochland County, VA her entire life. In May 2021 she graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Animal and Poultry Sciences. She is currently in school to obtain her Veterinary Technician license at Blue Ridge Community College and is very eager to keep furthering her education! Her passion for the veterinary world has gone on for as long as she can remember! In her free time she enjoys spending time with her fur babies, 2 dogs, Nala and June and 2 kitties, Timone and Pumba. She also enjoys being outdoors and getting her hands dirty.

Jennifer Jinnett

Jennifer Jinnett

Jennifer has lived in Louisa my whole life. She started working in the Veterinary field in 2016. She started at Crossroads Animal Hospital July 2022. She has been around animals her whole life– mainly horses, dogs and, cats. She enjoys spending time with her horse Love, reading, photography, hiking, and being outdoors. She loves spending time with her family and friends.

Megan Isenhour

Megan Isenhour

Megan was born and raised in the county of Fluvanna and has lived here her whole life. She grew up western horseback riding on her family’s small farm where she has been taking care of horses and training them. Megan joined CRAH in January 2023 and loves it here! In her free time she enjoys trail riding on her horse Sage, playing with her dog Remi, spending time with family, being outdoors, and hanging out with her boyfriend Hunter.

Lexi Wells

Lexi Wells

Lexi grew up in Ohio then moved to the area in 2017. She worked at the local SPCA for 4 years. Lexi joined the CRAH family in April 2023. She spends most of her time at home with her 2 cats Mook and Lil’ Man. If she is not hanging out with them then she is probably reading, going on a walk outside, painting or napping.

Kendra Cattanach

Kendra Cattanach

Kendra joined Crossroads in February 2024. Kendra moved to Fluvanna County in 2010 and graduated in 2018 hoping to someday pursue a career in education. She soon realized her love and passion was leaning towards taking care of all animals. In May of 2023, she graduated from Radford University with a degree in general biology hoping to one day learn how to work with exotic animals. In the meantime she loves being in her hometown learning and working at CRAH as a vet assistant. In her free time she enjoys reading, listening to music, working out, and most importantly spending time with her friends and family.

Tina Goodwin

Tina Goodwin

Tina Goodwin joined Crossroads Animal Hospital in 2014. She lives in Louisa where she enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and son-in-law. Tina loves all animals and owns horses, dogs, and cats. In her spare time she enjoys time spent on the boat and going to the beach.

Kelly Robbins

Kelly Robbins

Kelly Robbins joined Crossroads Animal Hospital in June of 2019. She lives with her husband Patrick and their pets: 2 dogs (Beats and Zero), 2 cats (Mahina and GreyWind), and 2 birds (Jace and Apollo) at Lake Monticello. In her free time, she likes to do Zumba and volunteer at a local rescue.

Cyndi Sweger

Cyndi Sweger

Cyndi Sweger joined Crossroads Animal Hospital in October 2021. She has worked in the veterinary field for 30+ years. She lives in Ruckersville with her husband of 36 years, Mike. Her household includes 3 cats, Clancey, Rossi and Vinny, and her Yorkie, Dash. In her down time she enjoys shooting, ax throwing and visiting the local breweries and vineyards.

Skylar Lindsey

Skylar Lindsey started here in February of 2022. Before moving here, she lived in Harrisonburg VA and went to James Madison University. She lives here in Zion crossroads with her boyfriend, cat, and 2 dogs. On her free time, she likes to watch movies and read books.

Donna Lam

Donna Lam

Donna is a Veterinary Receptionist at Crossroads Animal Hospital. She joined our practice in October of 2010. Donna lives in Bumpass with her husband and youngest daughter of 5. Donna has a Persian cat named Gilbert, a Bengal cat named Oliver, a Cane Corso named Bella, a mini horse and 8 goats.

Kelsey Moxley

Kelsey Moxley

Kelsey started at Crossroads in February 2024. She is originally from Maryland but moved to Greene County in December 2020. Kelsey lives with her Cane Corso mix, Apollo and her cat, Luna. On weekends you can find her at her part time job at Bald Top Brewing Co in Madison, VA! Kelsey Enjoys spending time with friends, family and fishing.

Colleen Rock

Colleen Rock
Practice Manager

Colleen joined the practice in 2017. Colleen is a licensed veterinary technician and has worked in veterinary medicine for over 15 years. She enjoys both the hands-on and management side of veterinary medicine. She lives in Charlottesville with her husband Kerry, their children, dog, Phinn and 2 cats, Freddy and Muffin. In her free time she enjoys gardening, volunteering and spending time with her family.

Morgan Gray

Morgan started working at Crossroads in August 2020. Morgan is originally from Northern, VA but moved to the area in 2019. She graduated with a BS in Biology from Randolph-Macon College in 2017. She has been in the veterinary field since graduation and has been active in Weimaraner rescues since she was 10. In her free time, she likes to binge watch reality TV with her wife, Hannah, hike with her 2 dogs, Scout and Wilson, and spoil her family’s 6 other dogs.
