What to Expect on Surgery Day

Our highly-trained team ensures you're fully informed on the surgical process. The first step is to complete pre-anesthesia blood work to ensure your pet is healthy enough to undergo anesthesia. Post-surgery, we'll contact you with an update on your pet's condition. You will receive comprehensive discharge instructions, including a personalized pain management plan, activity limitations, and any plans for follow-up services.

Your pet's safety and comfort throughout the surgical process is paramount to our team. As Fear-Free® certified professionals, our team has received specialized training designed to ease stress, anxiety, and fear during your pet's stay at our hospital. Additionally, during every surgical procedure, a trained technician meticulously monitors your pet's vital signs. Our technician will continue to monitor and comfort your pet until they are fully awake. Once awake, your pet is moved to our recovery suite.

We understand the anxiety that can come with your pet undergoing surgery and our goal is to keep you well-informed and supported throughout the entire process. We're here to answer any questions you may have and ensure you feel confident.

If your pet is scheduled for surgery and you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out and call us. heart icon
