Dr. Mike Fietz

Dr. Mike Fietz was born and raised in New York, He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University, and stuck around to earn his veterinary degree in 2003. He moved to Charlottesville that year to begin his career in small animal practice and loved the area far too much to leave. His professional interests include geriatric medicine, ultrasound, and soft tissue surgery, and his column on animal health has been published in C-Ville Weekly. In his free time, he is an avid hiker, shutterbug, writer, and video gamer. He also loves cooking and welcomes any excuse to spend his day in the kitchen. He shares his home with a sweet but neurotic hound dog named Link.
